Hurricane Lowell Hawaii Update: Kauai Faces Hurricane Warning and Dangerous Weather

  USA News  Hawaii is preparing for dangerous weather as Hurricane Lowell moves closer to the western Hawaiian Islands. Officials have issued a Hurricane Warning for Kauai County, while other parts of the state are also preparing for heavy rain, strong winds and dangerous ocean conditions. Hawaii emergency officials said Lowell is forecast to pass west of Niihau and Kauai. Hurricane Karina Strengthens Into Major Hurricane: Latest Update and Forecast

 Hurricane Karina has strengthened into a major hurricane over the eastern Pacific, according to the latest update from the National Hurricane Center (NHC). As of the latest advisory, Karina was lo cated far southwest of the southern tip of Baja California and was moving westward over the Pacific Ocean. The hurricane had maximum sustained winds of about 125 mph, with stronger gusts.  National Hurricane Center Where Is Hurricane Karina Now? Karina is currently far from the U.S. mainland and is moving generally westward.
