Delhi Airport Rain: Flight Operations Hit Due to Heavy Rainfall Today


Heavy rain in Delhi today caused major disruption at Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL). According to reports, more than 10 flights were diverted to Jaipur and Lucknow due to low visibility and waterlogging.


The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Delhi-NCR. Heavy rainfall started early morning around 5 AM, causing delays in both domestic and international flights.


Which Flights Were Diverted?


As per Delhi Airport officials, flights coming from Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Dubai were diverted. Air India, IndiGo, and SpiceJet flights are among the affected flights. Passengers are advised to check their flight status before leaving for the airport.


Delhi Weather Today - IMD Update


IMD says that Delhi will see more rain in the next 24 hours. The temperature has dropped to 26°C. The weather department has advised people to avoid travel unless necessary.

Delhi Airport has issued an advisory on X (Twitter). They said, "Due to adverse weather conditions, flight operations are impacted. Please contact your airline for updated flight information."
