India's indigenous fighter aircraft program Tejas Mk2 has entered its most critical phase in 2026.


According to official updates, the first prototype of Tejas Mk2 is currently undergoing integration checks, systems validation, and structural integrity assessments. This includes avionics testing and flight control validation before ground testing and taxi trials. 9c53

The Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) have confirmed that the prototype will undergo ground evaluations by CEMILAC (Centre for Military Airworthiness and Certification) for First Flight Clearance. 9c53
