Mansoor Delane Injury Update: Chiefs Rookie Leaves Debut After Interception
Rookie Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Mansoor Delane made an immediate impact in his NFL debut against the Denver Broncos. But a shoulder injury cost him his stellar start. Delane, the Chiefs’ first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, snagged his first interception of his pro career early in the game. He helped Kansas City get an early chance to score when he picked off Broncos quarterback Bo Nix on the third scrimmage play. But on the return trip Delane put his right shoulder to the ground. He left the field soon after with a shoulder injury, and was initially listed as questionable to return. The Chiefs later downgraded him to out for the game.
