  A renewed U.S. effort to help end the Russia-Ukraine war is underway after President Donald Trump's envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, held talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv. The meeting came after Witkoff and Kushner traveled to Moscow and met Russian President Vladimir Putin for several hours. Washington, Aug 29, 2026 British far-right political commentator Milo Yiannopoulos has been detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) confirmed on Friday. Yiannopoulos, 41, who was once a prominent figure in American conservative media, was arrested on Thursday and is currently in ICE custody pending removal to the United Kingdom. According to DHS, he is subject to a final order of removal.
